History and
Mission
We
are proud of our long and rich 106
year history. Founded by militant,
yet humble workers, who not only
survived the struggles but were on
the front lines fighting for social
justice and building what has become
Local 227. Each generation over the
decades--contract by contract,
worker by worker, built a union
strong enough to win the outstanding
wages, benefits, and working
conditions our members enjoy today.

We
are people who despite our
differences, are united in the
common goal of helping each other
achieve dignity and fairness in the
work place and a fair wage for a
fair day's work. Follow this link

We are proud of the fact that
our Executive Board is made up of
rank and file members who have given
of their time and talent to debate
and decide important issues
confronting our union.
