• Be a one-year member of UFCW Local 227 or the child or legal dependent or spouse of a one-year member of UFCW Local 227 by March 4,2010

• Have a 2.0 GPA (on a 4 point scale) or higher in high school

• Be a high school senior who will graduate at the end of the current academic year, 2009-10 or currently enrolled in an institution of higher learning.

• Be at least a one-year member of Local 227

• Have been out of high school at least one year. (If you have earned a GED, you may have done so within the past year, however, you must have been out of high school at least one year)

Below are the winners for the Fall 2009 Semester:
We are pleased to announce the Danny Dettlinger Scholarship Fund had thirty-eight applications.  The completed applications were forwarded to representatives from the University of Louisville who subjected the completed applicant essays to a blind review.  The representatives then selected five (5) applicants to receive $2,000 scholarships toward the Fall 2009 academic year.
