A Solution to the Health Care Crisis
America’s health care system is broken. Hard-working Americans can’t afford quality health care.
Over the past eight years, family health insurance premiums for Kentucky’s workers rose almost 3 times more quickly than earnings. On average, health care premiums rose 47.5%, while earnings rose only 16.8%.
During that same time period in Indiana, family health insurance premiums rose over 7 times more quickly than earnings. The average health care premiums rose 83.4%, compared to an 11.4% increase in wages.

UFCW plays an active role in the growing national movement Health Care for America Now (HCAN).
