November 10, 2011 Minutes of Meeting
Lunch served at 12:00 pm (noon), prayer was said.
Meeting came to order, pledge of the flag was said.
Minutes for October meeting approved as written.
Treasury report - $128.71 in savings, and $763.91
Old Business:
Christmas party raffle tickets on $300 cash will be $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00
New Business:
If you attend monthly meetings you will get an extra door prize ticket to be used for the summer picnic door prize. Instead of having one (1) door prize ticket you would have one (1) plus what you have collected through the year. Jim talked about having extra activities.
John Firth Stewart, Attorney would like to come speak to us after the first of the year.
Discussed how to distribute the Christmas baskets to needy.
Mary Rucker reported on cards sent to sick and families of deceased members.
Elle Dennison, a faithful member, has totally lost her eyesight and is in a new living facility. Ella came as long as she was able to attend our meetings.
Anita & Joe O’Gara were present at this meeting after a long absence. We are glad Anita is back on the mend and Joe also. They are faithful members, and were missed.
50/50 winner was Mike Flynn. Mike won $13.00 and donated it back to the treasury.
