Lunch – 12:00 pm (noon) Prayer was led by Jim Hatfield.
We were entertained by Don Masterson and his group, "The Music Makers". All seem to enjoy them.
President James Higgins called the meeting to order at 12:40 pm. Pledge of the flag was said.
No meeting in August, no report.
Treasury report was made by Petey Tapp, $127.19 savings, and $843.95 in checking. A check in the amount of $70.00 was sent to Kosair Shriners (donation).
Mary Rucker reported on the sick members, and cards sent to the families of the deceased.
Pat Flynn was at the meeting, and thanked us for the cards she received during her recent hospitalization. Pat is facing more surgery, so please keep her in your thoughts and
prayers.
Mary Rucker has a daughter-in-law, brother and a niece who need our prayers also. Mary has her hands full.
Francine Cox is back home after her stay in the nursing home.
Norma Higgins saw Ella at the fair, and she sends a big "hello" to all of you. She was having a
good time in Heritage Hall and was going to be in a hat contest.
No new business, no old business.
50/50 (pot $50.00). $25.00 won by Harold Embry, which he so kindly returned to the treasury.
