Lunch 12 pm (Noon). Prayer led by James Hatfield. Twenty-five (25) members present.
Meeting came to order at 12:40 pm. Pledge to the flag was led by James Hatfield.
No meeting in August due to the Union Founders Day celebration.
Treasury Report - Petey Tapp
Petey reported we lost on the TV raffle at the summer picnic
$128.07 Savings, $177.22 Checking
Mary Rucker was given a check for $37.60 for stamps and cards she uses to send to members. Motion was made and seconded.
Mary Rucker - Reported on cards sent to the sick members and families of the deceased. Mary thanked people for their visit to the funeral home and prayers for her brother, Henry Jackson, a retired Kroger butcher. Also, Joe Miller, (who is a regular at our monthly meetings) had a heart attack. Joe is doing better.
New Business - Union had an over abundance of bratwurst (Fischer's, 1# grillers) for sale at $20 for a 12# box. This was a good deal and several members bought them. Bud Hatfield was given a $70 check for an ad in the Kosair Circus program. Also several Circus admission tickets are donated to the Union members.
Old Business - None at this time.
50/50 - $50.00 total. $25.00 won by Jim Higgins.
Meeting adjourned at 1:15 PM.
