Join your union family for an evening in Iroquois Park for the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular! Walk through the park lit by thousands of intricately carved pumpkins with free hot chocolate! Tickets are usually $13 we will have them for $5! Limit of 10 tickets per member. Children 3 and under are free. We will hand the tickets out that evening at the UFCW 227 trailer from 6-9.pm. Use cash, card, or checks to pay. The event is open from 6-11pm.

Events include free food, door prizes, promotional and informational booths, a live band, and rides for the children along with popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, and a petting zoo. It will also host a car/truck/tractor show and cornhole tournament.
Door prizes will be drawn every 30 minutes with a grand prize drawing at 4pm (must be present to win)

Sunday, August 12th, we will celebrate Founder's Day for our local union, UFCW 227, 116 years and going strong. Those that came before us left us a legacy of fighting for the rights of workers and we look forward to carrying that legacy on to the next generation of workers. Come out and celebrate with us!
THE UFCW 227 RETIREES COUNCIL WILL ONCE AGAIN BE HOSTING THEIR ANNUAL SUMMER PICNIC FOR RETIREES AND THEIR SPOUSE OR GUEST. THE EVENT WILL BE JULY 12, 2018, 11:30 AM, AT THE UNION HALL. IT IS A POTLUCK LUNCH THAT WILL BE SERVED AT NOON. PLEASE BRING YOUR FAVORITE COVERED DISH. DOOR PRIZES WILL BE DRAWN DURING THE DAY AND 50/50 TICKETS WILL ALSO BE SOLD.
To be eligible you must:
Be at least 18 years old
Have been a legal permanent resident (Have a green card) for 5 years, or 3 years if married to a U.S. citizen.
Have no problems with the law.
Speak, write and read basic English (You may qualify for an exception based on your age and time as a permanent resident).
