UFCW Local 227 represents thousands of meat packing and food processing workers across Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Local 227 currently represents workers at Tyson, Smithfield, Dawn Foods, Farbest Foods, JBS, Teasdale Foods, and Pilgrims Pride. UFCW 227 works with employers in Kentucky and Southern Indiana to make sure workers have a say when it comes to their health and safety, pay, schedules, health insurance and retirement benefits - backed by a union contract.
