At this time last year, who would have thought we’d be wearing masks to work every day, standing behind plexiglass and getting our temperatures taken. Did you know COVID was a word? We didn’t. And we’re pretty sure we would have thought corona was something we’d like to have on occasion.

Seeing how hard his mother was working, Brenda’s son, Jylan Ross, contacted our union, local officials and Kroger to do something to show her how proud he was of her and to honor her legacy of service.

Throughout a pandemic, during the holidays, and all year long, members of UFCW work to ensure that people in our communities have the food and supplies they need at Kroger stores all across our region. These workers have earned additional compensation for the hazards that still very much exist.
